How To Take A Screenshot

Sending a screenshot to help with support

Screenshots help us understand the problem you are experiencing with our tools. Often times, words can only describe so much and pictures really help us figure out what’s going on when you submit them with a ticket. For most issues, resetting your browser cache and cookies will solve it. If they still persist, here’s a quick guide on how to take a screenshot in Windows and Mac OSX.

Mac OSX:

  1. Go to the browser where you are experiencing the problem.
  2. To capture that window, press and hold Command-Shift-4 then tap on the Spacebar.
  3. The cursor will change to a camera, and you can move it around the screen.
  4. As you move it over the browser, it will become highlighted.
  5. Click the mouse button and the screenshot will be saved as a PNG image file on your desktop.
  6. Attach and send the image with your support ticket.

Windows:

  1. Go to the browser where you are experiencing the problem.
  2. Press the Print Screen or PrtSc button on your keyboard.
  3. Open the program Paint.
  4. Press Control + V to paste the screenshot into Paint.
  5. Press Control + S to save the screenshot as a JPG file type.
  6. Attach and send the image with your support ticket.
